
Squirrels Programme
Our first session of the new term sees us make our own fruit salad and try new fruits.
We will think about new things we would like to learn and how we can use these to set ourselve some challenges

We will be looking at elements of our Earth Tribe badge and tying these in with Earth Day Celebrations.

This session will complete our All Together Challenge badge and continue our Be Active Badge

Tonight we will be thinking about what makes someone a Hero.
We will talk about some local Heroes and some "superheroes".
Fininshing the session by making our very own Super Hero Mask

We start our navigation badge, introducing basic map reading, usingplay mats, toy cars and Meeples.
Playing some navigation based games and look at maps of our local area to identify our significant places.

Tonight we venture off to Eaton Vale to have a go at some climbing games.
Testing our team work and our nerve.

No Squirrels this week as the squirrels are busy enjoying their Half Term Holidays

Putting our new map reading skills to the test, collecting some natural materials such as twigs for an art project

We will be making a large scal collage with the materials we collected in the last session.
We will also be thinking about nature that is all around us and learn a little about birds.

Our Squirrels have the opportunity to explore a variety of different stations with activities including Colouring, Lego, Games or Craft.

We will be starting our All Around us challenge.
We will be making a boat to see if it floats.
We are also joined by some of our Scouts to share their experience of scouting and to teach us some scouting skills.

Tonight we will be continuing our Nature theme making a bug / butterfly hotel.
We learn about different habitats and look at tracks / footprints to identify different animals.

We will look at basic fire building highlighting safety around a campfire.
We will make baked bananas and enjoy these together around a cosy campfire and possibly even a sing song.

Our final session of the summer before the holidays sees us host a party.
Looking back on what we have learnt and what is still to come.
